Kids, the future stewards of the environment
Apr 12, 2022We start with the pharmaceutical industry funding our education system from top to bottom. One thing to acknowledge is the fact that this specific industry is better known as a marketing company rather than a “heal the community” company. Their interests lay with their shareholders (legally has to) and when it comes to creating a product, they create a product of hope, not results. My point in mentioning the pharmaceutical industry is the fact that they do not acknowledge any part of nature but rather play on current human nature, “the quick fix” needed by all humans. This is how they create products of “hope” that rarely improve the health of the human ingesting it. This detachment from creating real results and the removal of nature (meaning we believe we can outsmart nature) has resulted in humans avoiding the sun, ingesting supplements that have very little if no nutritional value due to lack “bio availability”, living in fear of cancer (even though majority of cancers can be defeated or prevented with simple dietary changes) and worst of all, the “humans are bad” education they receive in every step of their education.
In order to create real stewards of the environment, we need to teach our future generations that they are nature itself. All of the nonsense regarding humans destroying nature is politically motivated. The one thing they don’t tell the public is that “mother nature” will be here long after we are. We are in a period of earths history where the climate is suitable for living in most parts of the world. This has not always been the case nor will it be in the future. That is why nature is so powerful and we need to understand that. When we educate our kids at home and in schools, they need to understand that the decisions they make knowing they are nature itself will assist in reducing our overall immediate damage to the communities they are in. We will consume less, want less and need less per capita, only if we find our instinctual roots and realize that everything we purchase, think we need (since it is being sold to us) keeps us further from our true selves, our instinctual selves.
When it comes to our children (the next generation) we need to allow them to experience true nature, not the 7 natural wonders of the world. To a child, everything is a wonder and we need to remove our adult perspective and remember, a child of all ages will enjoy every aspect of nature if they notice that we do as well. Ever wonder why a child thinks a geode from a store is so amazing and many of these children keep items like this from past family trips? Nature anyone? Groups of kids should not be at the beach or park doing garbage cleanup as though it is a good service. Let them go hiking, not cleaning. As they become more involved with groups and understanding nature, that is when they organize to clean the woods. Don't go hiking just to post it on social media, don't stop every 2 seconds to take a picture, talk less, video less, breathe more. Stop implying that nature is a national park, nature is everywhere, nature is in an alleyway of a big city, nature is in a brick patio in the back of a small yard, nature is sun, wind, rain, clouds, snow, heat. We need to stop making excuses and thinking that nature is only in a national park and that it can only be seen with a big family trip. Go outside, remove your shoes, remove your phone from your pocket and enjoy the elements in all their glory. One of the most important aspects of nature is nature itself, on the ground, in the trees, in the sky, feel it touch it, get dirty, LET THEM BE KIDS. They may get hurt once in a while, but overall it will be for their benefit and the benefit of their future!
Grab a stick or a leaf hold it in your hand while you hike the entire time, grab some moss, lichen, even a twig. Not every human has to love nature, they just have to realize they are nature themselves. Let's not create a generation of so-called conservationists, let's create a generation of people who understand that they are part of nature, this will allow them to figure out their own reasoning and thoughts on everything circling our environment today, true stewards of the environment.
The mention of the pharmaceutical companies is only one of the ways humans are continually detaching from nature. Profiting off of "hope" and a humans need for a "quick fix" is damaging to nature in all the ways discussed in this quick "thought piece". Technology will not save us, nature will save us if we can be part of it. This does not mean live in the woods and start subsistence farming. Our population has exceeded this possibility, but it does mean we need to find everyway possible to be part of nature again. Regenerative agriculture, more protein from animal sources and simple understanding that evolution over millions of years has brought us to this point in time are all necessary to change our human trajectory, WE WILL NOT OUTSMART NATURE. Stop listening to government organizations and political madness. It has divided us in more ways than most people realize. Once we have polarized our children into believing humans are bad within our education system, we are setting their generation up for failure. Although innovation quickly advances, more and more humans are becoming detached from themselves and nature. Social media does not help in this cause, lets reverse this trend. Step one, let them be Kids! Step 2, let them truly understand that nature is everywhere, including themselves. Step 3, sit back and watch the next generation flourish in every aspect of life as they will understand what it truly means to live instinctually. Instinctual Health For Life!
